Whitney's school had an assembly today for their reading counts program. Whitney was the overall winner for all the 4th grades with 811 points and third for the whole school (grades 2nd-6th)! She got this awesome trophy and medal. Plus 4 movie passes, two bowling passes and two free Burger King meal passes. It really pays to read! Most importantly though, she has a true love of reading and that makes me so happy.

Whitney, I'm so proud of you. Reading is so important and will be your whole life. Tell Dad and Mom thanks for passing on the love of books to you. They have done a good job. You are growing into such a beautiful young lady.
What a great accomplishment!! I hope that I can instill good reading habits for my children and they learn to love reading
Way to go Whitney!!! Reading is such a wonderful thing to enjoy. Does she have any favorite series she reads? Victoria reads a bunch too, if only Jacob could get into it.

Good girl! As a teacher I can tell you that a good reader is almost always a good student and is subsequently successful in nearly all they do. What a smarty pants.
