It is that time of year again, Pinewood Derby time! Here is Gavin with his car. His only goal was speed in the crafting of his car. All his and Chris's hard work paid off though. He had the fastest car in his pack. His best time was 2.744. The others cars were mostly in the 2.8?? range. Landon and Ashlyn were not being cooperative and I spent most of my time trying to divert Landon away from the car table and the refreshments table. Chris was busy protecting the car table from all the little kids. His great fear was that one of the cars would be dropped and broken.

Landon loves anything with wheels so I knew he would love the derby. He spent the first 10-15 minutes of racing on Whitney's lap completely entranced then he devoted himself to trying to steal one of the cars. He was not happy with me for thwarting him in his attempts. He kept trying to push me away and telling me to "GO". Next stop districts!
