Whitney asked Chris to make an ice cream cake for her party. I couldn't stand how he'd clumped all the candles into that one side of the cake. I wanted to rearrange them but I was out voted.

Watching "Another Cinderella Story". They all gave it two thumbs up! Ashlyn was in heaven all night long and thought she was just one of the big girls.

Friday night our home was filled with the sound of giggles, squeals, singing and high pitched chatter all night long and into the wee hours of Saturday. Whitney asked for a slumber party for this years birthday celebration. Earlier in the week she asked if we could get rid of "the boy" (meaning her brother Gavin) for the night. Lucky for her he was invited to sleepover at Kaden's house. Her party started at 5:00 and she graciously offered to walk him over to Kaden's house at 1o to the hour. In her defense he had been tormenting her with how he was going to shoot her and all her friends with his vulcan nerf gun. I had been a little nervous about dramas or problems but it went really well. Despite the fact that none of them could have gotten more than a few hours sleep they all seemed pretty sprightly and chipper the next day. I on the other hand was beat. I'm such a light sleeper that any noise wakes me right up. And 8 girls cavorting the night away is noisy!
