Ashlyn's Beauty Sleep

Ashlyn has always had a very low energy level and seems to need LOTS of sleep. More often than not when she is in the car she will nod off for a little nap. I actually became concerned awhile back. After visits to her pediatrician and cardiologist I was assured that she is in good health. I love sleeping kid pictures. Has she ever given me lots of photo ops for this category of photo! I have a fair amount of Gavin and almost none of Whitney. I don't expect to get many of Landon either. I just took this one the other day. The kitchen floor was a first. Anyways, it started me thinking about how many photos I have of her sleeping. I started looking back through my photo files and decided to do a post completely dedicated to our little Sleeping Beauty. These shots were all taken over the past 9 months.
This little pink chair is a fairly popular spot.

Grandpa's lap is probably her favorite napping spot but a luxury she does not often get to indulge in.

This one reminds me of the story of the Princess and the Pea. One might consider this to be evidence to her claims of being a princess. If only I also did not have a shot of her sleeping on the hard tile in the kitchen. Looks like she tried to resist but lost the fight.

I like her hand in this one.

Sleeping on the stair landing?!? I'm just glad she didn't roll on down the stairs.

Here she is snuggling her security object/baby blanket. It is featured in many of the sleeping shots. She calls it rinas because it has ballerinas printed on the fabric. Whitney helped my Mom make it for her while I was pregnant with her. After almost 5 years of repeated washings and constant use it is falling apart. For the longest time she refused to use any other blanket. She now occasionally makes an exception to this rule. I tracked down a piece of the exact same fabric (which is no longer being produced) on eBay. We made a new one but she only wants the original.
Love the way she is curled up in this shot.
